On behalf of The Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA), The Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute (TAWIRI), Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), The National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR), Tanzania Food and Nutrition Centre (TFNC), The National Museum of Tanzania (NMT), Tanzania Buildings Agency (TBA) and The University of Dar es Salaam, Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) invites dynamic and suitable qualified Tanzanians to fill (298) vacant posts mentioned below:
1.0 THE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING AUTHORITY (VETA)
The Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) was established by the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Act of Parliament No.1 of 1994 revised edition Cap 82 of 2019. The overall objective of establishment of VETA is to oversee the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system in Tanzania. It is charged with the responsibilities of promoting, coordinating, providing and securing adequate and stable financing of VET system in the Country.
VETA is envisioned to have “Tanzania with sufficient and competent artisans”. The Mission of VETA is to ensure quality demand driven vocational skills to Tanzanians through providing, promoting and financing Vocational Education and Training in order to contribute to socio-economic development.
1.1 VOCATIONAL TUTOR II (MULTIMEDIA AND FILM TECHNOLOGY) – 2 POSTS
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Prepare training plans and scheme of works;
ii. Guide trainees in preparing teaching tools and requirements;
iii. Deliver instructions through various teaching methods;
iv. Supervise, assess and evaluate trainees during teaching practice;
v. Carry out assessments and evaluations through tests and examinations;
vi. Initiate improvements of training curriculum;
vii. Provide counselling and guidance to trainees;
viii. Keep assessment records;
ix. Participate in course evaluation;
x. Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Technology and Animation. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate within VETA after employment.
Remuneration: Attractive package in accordance with Institution’s Salary Scale.
1.2 VOCATIONAL TUTOR II (ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION) – 1 POST
Duties and Responsibilities: As in 1.1
Qualifications: Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate.

1.3 VOCATIONAL TUTOR II (INTERIOR DESIGNING AND DECORATION) – 2 POSTS
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate.

1.4 VOCATIONAL TUTOR II (AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING) – 2 POSTS
Qualifications: Degree in Automotive/Automobile Engineering. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate.

1.5 VOCATIONAL TUTOR II (TRUCK MECHANICS) – 1 POST
Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Automobile Engineering. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate.

1.6 VOCATIONAL TEACHER II (ICT) – 10 POSTS
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Prepare instructional plans and schemes of training;
ii. Prepare tools and equipment for presentations;
iii. Deliver instructions to trainees;
iv. Perform formative and summative assessments;
v. Participate in curriculum development;
vi. Prepare implementation and progress reports;
vii. Monitor discipline of trainees;
viii. Safeguard training tools and equipment;
ix. Provide counselling to trainees;
x. Perform any other related duties.
Qualifications: Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computing and IT, Computer Science, or ICT. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate.

1.7 VOCATIONAL TEACHER II (MINERAL PROCESSING) – 1 POST
Qualifications: Diploma in Mineral Engineering, Geology, or Mineral Processing Engineering. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate.

1.23 ASSISTANT VOCATIONAL TEACHER II (MOTOR VEHICLE MECHANICS) – 16 POSTS
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Prepare schemes of training and lesson plans;
ii. Deliver instructions to trainees;
iii. Provide counselling;
iv. Orient new trainees on safe use of tools;
v. Administer tests and examinations;
vi. Provide inputs on curriculum improvement;
vii. Assist in timetable preparation;
viii. Monitor discipline;
ix. Perform any other related duties.
Qualifications: National Vocational Award Level III or Trade Test Grade I in Motor Vehicle Mechanics. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate.

1.24 ASSISTANT VOCATIONAL TEACHER II (ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION) – 18 POSTS
Qualifications: National Vocational Award Level III or Trade Test Grade I in Electrical Installation. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate.

1.25 ASSISTANT VOCATIONAL TEACHER II (PLUMBING AND PIPE FITTING) – 15 POSTS
Qualifications: National Vocational Award Level III or Trade Test Grade I in Plumbing and Pipe Fitting. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate.

Qualifications: National Vocational Award Level III or Trade Test Grade I in Welding and Metal Fabrication. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate.

1.27 ASSISTANT VOCATIONAL TEACHER II (FITTER MECHANICS) – 2 POSTS
Qualifications: National Vocational Award Level III or Trade Test Grade I in Fitter Mechanics. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate.

1.28 ASSISTANT VOCATIONAL TEACHER II (BINDING AND PRINT FINISHING) – 1 POST
Qualifications: National Vocational Award Level III or Trade Test Grade I in Binding and Print Finishing. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate.

1.29 ASSISTANT VOCATIONAL TEACHER II (DESIGN, SEWING AND CLOTH TECHNOLOGY) – 10 POSTS
Qualifications: National Vocational Award Level III or Trade Test Grade I in Design Sewing & Clothing Technology (DSCT)/ Tailoring or Clothing and Textile Technology. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate.

1.30 ASSISTANT VOCATIONAL TEACHER II (GEMSTONE CUTTING, POLISHING AND CARVING) – 1 POST
Qualifications: National Vocational Award Level III or Trade Test Grade I in Gemstone cutting and Polishing. Computer literate. Must possess or be ready to pursue a Vocational Teachers Training Certificate.

3.0 SOKOINE UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE (SUA)
3.1 DENTAL SURGEON II - 2 POSTS
Duty Station: Main Campus
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Assist in attending medical/surgical cases;
ii. Assist in conducting surgery;
iii. Assist in referrals and counselling;
iv. Supervise junior staff;
v. Collect and store patient data;
vi. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Dental Surgery Degree plus internship completion and registration with Tanganyika Medical Council.

3.2 COMPUTER TECHNOLOGIST II (CYBERSECURITY) – ASSISTANT TO ACADEMICIAN - 2 POSTS
Duty Station: Main Campus
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Teach students and assist in research;
ii. Design and maintain security protocols;
iii. Test and validate application security;
iv. Develop security best practices;
v. Perform risk assessments;
vi. Conduct security audits;
vii. Develop and implement cybersecurity exercises;
viii. Deliver cybersecurity training;
ix. Collaborate with teams;
x. Develop security tools;
xi. Identify and mitigate risks;
xii. Prepare reports;
xiii. Stay updated on cybersecurity trends;
xiv. Provide training and support.
Desired Skills: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, PHP; knowledge of microservices, CodeIgniter, FastAPI, React, CSS, HTML5, React Native, Flutter; cybersecurity principles; version control; database systems; OSINT; PKI; OS tools; IT security certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP).
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in ICT Security, Computer Security, or Cybersecurity.

3.3 LABORATORY ASSISTANT II (ASSISTANT TO ACADEMICIAN) - 20 POSTS
Duty Station: 18-Main Campus, 2 - Mizenzo Pinda Campus, Katavi
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Prepare samples/specimens;
ii. Prepare for laboratory tests;
iii. Maintain cleanliness;
iv. Assist in routine tests;
v. Assist in laboratory tasks;
vi. Collect and care for teaching equipment;
vii. Assist in preparing teaching materials;
viii. Assist in quality system maintenance;

Qualifications: Certificate in Laboratory Sciences, Laboratory Technology, or equivalent.

3.4 AUXILIARY POLICE CONSTABLE – 1 POST
Duty Station: Main Campus
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Guard sensitive areas;
ii. Guard people and properties;
iii. Search vehicles and persons;
iv. Assist in firefighting;
v. Report security matters;
vi. Provide court evidence;
vii. Educate community on police matters;
viii. Take preventive measures;
ix. Enforce laws;
x. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Form IV/VI certificate plus Basic Auxiliary Police Training Certificate. Age 18-30, good health, no criminal record, fluent in Swahili and English.

3.5 ARTISAN II (CARPENTRY) - 3 POSTS
Duty Station: 2 – Morogoro Campus, 1- Mizenzo Pinda Campus
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Assist in craft jobs;
ii. Report repairs and maintenance issues;
iii. Maintain workshop cleanliness;
iv. Advise on craft jobs;
v. Maintain machinery and tools;
vi. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: CSEE and National Vocational Award/Trade Test Grade II in carpentry or equivalent.

4.0 THE TANZANIA WILDLIFE RESEARCH INSTITUTE (TAWIRI)
4.1 RESEARCH OFFICER II (BEEKEEPING) -1 POST
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Gather literature and write reports;
ii. Collaborate in dissemination of findings;
iii. Collect and analyse wildlife data;
iv. Publish research results;
v. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Master Degree in Beekeeping with Upper Second Class or Grade B.

4.2 RESEARCH OFFICER (WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT) – 8 POSTS
Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

vi. Supervise students;
vii. Provide veterinary services;
viii. Immobilize animals for translocation;

ii. Ensure proper storage;
iii. Prepare requisitions;
iv. Undertake laboratory analysis;

vi. Participate in containment and disposal;
vii. Participate in sample storage;
viii. Ensure biosafety protocols;
ix. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Diploma in Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, or equivalent. Experience with wildlife captive breeding is an advantage.
