EMPLOYMENT VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Commissioner General of the Tanzania Prisons Service announces job vacancies for Tanzanian youth with Form IV education and skills in various fields at the Diploma and Bachelor's levels as specified in this announcement. All applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS:
a) Must be a Tanzanian citizen;
b) Must possess a National ID or National Identification Number (NIDA);
c) Must not have been previously employed by the Government;
d) Must be aged between 18 - 24 for Form IV graduates and 18 - 28 for skilled applicants;
e) Must have a Birth Certificate;
f) Must have a minimum height of 5'4" for women and 5'7" for men;
g) Must be physically and mentally fit, certified by a Government Medical Doctor;
h) Must not be married or have ever given birth;
i) Must not have any tattoos or body markings;
j) Must be disciplined, of good character, and have no criminal record or prior convictions;
k) Must be willing to attend initial Prisons Service training and work anywhere in Mainland Tanzania;
l) Must be prepared to cover all personal costs during the initial stages of the recruitment process until reporting for training.
2. REQUIRED SKILLS AND FIELDS:
a) Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering;
b) Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Technology and Animation;
c) Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security;
d) Bachelor’s Degree in Network Engineering;
e) Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Counseling;
f) Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering;
g) Diploma in Office Machine Maintenance;
h) Diploma in Sign Language;
i) Diploma in Nursing;
j) Diploma in Agromechanization;
k) Diploma in Agriculture;
l) Diploma in Animal Health and Production;
m) Certificate in Secretarial Studies.
3. APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
All applications must be submitted through the Tanzania Prisons Service Recruitment Management System (TPSRMS) via the link: https://ajira.magereza.go.tz. Applications sent through other means will not be accepted.
4. NOTES:
a) Applicants previously dismissed from Prisons Service training programs are not eligible to reapply;
b) Any applicant submitting forged documents or concealing their true educational qualifications commits a criminal offense and will face legal action.
